This is a lesson plan provided by the National Library of Israel.
On November 4, 1995 Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. What do you know about Yitzhak Rabin? What were some of his greatest accomplishments? In this resource, learners will analyze a poster released by the Ministry of Education after his death. The poster is composed of 15 photographs, each depicting an aspect or event in his life. Students will learn about Rabin’s life story while also using it as a springboard to research another Israeli leader and create a similar photographic poster for that leader.
The learner will:
be able to conduct research about the life of an Israeli leader, current or past and create a photographic poster that captures the key events and achievements of that person’s life
