Breaking Guinness Record for Largest Chanukah Menorah Lighting

Breaking Guinness Record for Largest Chanukah Menorah Lighting Students from three Jerusalem FLL robotics teams got together on Hanukkah to set up and then break the Guinness World record for the largest Chanukah menorah lighting. Twelve hundred Menorahs were set up with 1,136 remaining lit for a minimum of 5 minutes as required by the Guinness rules. In partnership with UnitEd and Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combatting Antisemitism, hundreds of students from around the world joined in live by Zoom.

LSJS Conference

UnitEd brought together 25 Jewish educators from 15 different European countries to participate in the LSJS conference for primary school teachers in London. In addition to participating in the conference, UnitEd organized in-depth tours of local Jewish schools so that the participants could be inspired and reflect on their own teaching.

A delegation of school administrators from Latin America visited Israel

The objective of this visit was to demonstrate support and solidarity, gain insights into community resilience in light of the prevalent antisemitism in their home countries, and receive training as advocates for their communities upon their return. The group also met with Israel's president Isaac Herzog.

Education Conference Heidelberg

UnitEd in the annual education conference held in Heidelberg, organized by the Central Council of German Jews. UnitEd presented the digital resources, developed with EFI, that are available in multiple languages, including German.

Global Jewish Educational Leadership Solidarity Mission to Israel

30 Jewish Educational Leaders from across the world arrived in Israel to participate in a solidarity mission. The mission was co-sponsored by UnitEd with the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, the World Zionist Organization, the Pincus Fund for Jewish Education and the Koret Center for Jewish Civilization.

The UnitEd Strategic Growth Program in Mexico

Directors of Jewish Education of seven Jewish schools in Mexico joined together to a two-day meeting of workshops, group work, and more. this meeting lies in serving as a platform for collaborative work among administrators in infrastructure, programs, projects, and, most importantly, in shared thinking on various issues in Jewish education in Mexico.

More than 1,000 people attended the fair held this week by the Choisir L'école Juive Association partnered with by UnitEd. Parents in the fair met with representatives of Jewish schools impressed by what they have to offer to children, families, and the future of Jewish education.
