Israel News for Kids: The Magazine #4 – Israel’s Borders

Abstract

In this issue, students will learn about the borders of the State of Israel.
It begins by addressing what a border is and how a border between countries is determined.
Students then learn about all the countries that border the State of Israel and the western bordering on the Mediterranean Sea.

The students will study the verse:
“For I give all the land that you see to you and your offspring forever.” (Bereshit 13:15)

In addition, students will learn about the promise of the land to our forefathers made in the Bible.

Finally, students will read the fascinating history of Jerusalem’s urban frontier between Israel and Jordan existing between the War of Independence and the Six-Day War.
