The flora and fauna in National parks are continuously monitored and nurtured by experts. Other forests and habitats are not as fortunate and are often subjected to deforestation and forest degradation. What makes trees so important? If so, why are forests being destroyed? Through analyzing a JNF poster from 1966, learners will discover the different nature conservation efforts that Israel has in place and be prompted to decide how they can best protect the trees and environment within their own communities.
