What is GJELG?

In June 2024, an innovative collaboration emerged when four mission-driven organizations—UnitEd, WZO, JAFI, and the Pincus Fund—joined forces to address pressing challenges in Jewish education in the post October 7th reality. The vision was to convene 45 outstanding Jewish educational leaders worldwide to tackle the most critical emerging issues head-on. This dynamic initiative kicked off with an intensive 5-day seminar in Israel in January 2025, sparking deep connections and bold ideas. The process continues as participants collaborate in five focused working groups, crafting influential papers that promise to reshape the future of global Jewish education. At its heart, GJELG seeks to weave a lasting worldwide network of educational leaders, catalyze powerful partnerships among organizations, and create a vibrant forum where participants can discover cutting-edge approaches, share valuable resources, and develop strategic solutions to the most urgent challenges facing Jewish education today.
